At A2Z Dental, each denture is fabricated to fit your mouth specifically.

Types of Dentures We Offer 

Partial Dentures Replace one or more missing teeth in a row while your remaining natural teeth stay in place. This removable appliance connects to adjacent teeth for stability and is easy to clean at home.

Complete (Full) Dentures Designed for patients missing an entire arch, upper or lower. They're built to fit your gum contours and are removable for daily cleaning while staying secure during normal use.

Implant-Supported Options For patients who want additional stability:

• Single dental implants — replace one missing tooth with a custom crown
• Implant-supported bridges — replace two or more teeth in a row
• Fixed, implant-supported dentures — attach to a series of implants (sometimes called All-on-X) for a more secure full-arch fit

Which option fits best depends on your remaining jawbone, gum health, and preferences — something only an in-person exam can determine.

Who May Be a Candidate for Dentures?

Most adults missing one or more teeth can be considered for dentures, though the right fit depends on factors we evaluate at your visit, including:

• Overall oral and gum health
• Condition of any remaining natural teeth
• Jawbone structure, especially for implant support
• Medical conditions or medications affecting healing
• Ability to maintain the appliance with good home care

Patients with bone loss or gum concerns may still have options — an exam will confirm what works for you.

Your Consultation and the Denture Process

At your consultation, our team will review your dental and medical history, examine your teeth and gums, discuss your goals, and go over estimated costs and timelines. We're always accepting new patients of all ages, including walk-ins.

From there, the general process typically includes:

1. Consultation and exam
2. Preparatory care, if needed (such as extractions)
3. Impressions and fitting
4. Denture fabrication to match your bite and appearance
5. Final fitting and adjustments
6. Follow-up care, since fit can change over time

Timelines vary by patient, especially when extractions or healing are involved.

Comfort, Adjustment, and Care

It's normal to need a short adjustment period with new dentures — mild soreness, extra saliva, or practice speaking and eating are common at first. For anxious patients, A2Z Dental also offers nitrous oxide for a more relaxed visit. If dentures ever feel loose or cause irritation, contact our office promptly.

To keep dentures in good shape:

• Rinse after eating and brush daily with a non-abrasive cleaner
• Soak overnight as recommended
• Keep brushing your gums, tongue, and remaining natural teeth
• Attend regular dental checkups

Considerations and Comparing Your Options

Removable dentures may need periodic adjustment as your gums and jawbone change shape, and some patients need time to adjust to speaking or eating. Implant-supported options involve a minor surgical procedure with their own healing considerations. Dentures generally offer good stability but may need adjustment over time, have minimal effect on neighboring teeth, are removable and cleaned at home, and typically involve a shorter treatment time with no surgery required unless implant-supported. Dental implants, on the other hand, are very stable once healed, have no effect on neighboring teeth, are cleaned like natural teeth, but involve a longer treatment time due to healing and always require surgery.
